Typing sprint
What this challenge measures
Typing Sprint calculates gross words per minute from elapsed time and then reports accuracy. A personal-best WPM is recorded only when accuracy is at least 90%.
Scores are recreational and can vary by device, browser, display, input hardware, and environment. They are not diagnostic assessments.

How to use this typing speed test
Typing Sprint measures typing speed in words per minute while also enforcing an accuracy requirement. The passage changes with difficulty, so harder modes ask you to maintain speed through longer text and more demanding punctuation.
For comparable WPM results, use the same keyboard layout and avoid switching between physical and on-screen keyboards. Accuracy matters because a fast run with excessive errors does not qualify as the same kind of performance as a clean run.
How the score works
Higher WPM is better once the mode's minimum accuracy requirement is met. The test starts when you begin typing and ends after the full displayed passage is entered.
Questions about this challenge
How is typing speed measured?
The challenge reports words per minute based on the completed passage and elapsed time, while also checking typing accuracy.
Why does accuracy matter in a typing speed test?
Speed without accurate text is not very useful, so each difficulty has a minimum accuracy threshold before the run can count as a personal best.
Should I compare laptop and phone results?
It is better to compare results from the same keyboard/input setup because physical keyboards, touchscreen keyboards, autocorrect, and layouts can affect speed.
